Today our community, along with Eastern Iowa Community College and representatives from surrounding communities, celebrated the start of construction on the new Clinton Community College Career Advancement Center in DeWitt. After a ceremonial shoveling of dirt, attendees were encouraged to sign a structural beam that will be the last beam put in place at the new facility.
This project has become a reality thanks to the strong partnership between EICC, local businesses, the city of DeWitt, and area school districts. The residents of the EICC service area also deserve credit as they passed the $40 million bond referendum with more than 70% approval, allowing the project to move forward.
