This week Mrs. Burbach's and Mr. Grell's students learned life-saving skills thanks to the Army brand of the Iowa National Guard and a national program called Stop the Bleed. This is a bleeding control program designed to increase the survival rate of people who experience life-threatening blood loss. Students learned how to apply tourniquets, pack wounds and other critical information to treat significant injuries. Students also participated in team-building activities where they learned problem-solving skills and the importance of good communication.
