Saber Speech team members competed at the District Individual Events Contest this past weekend at Northeast where they qualified 17 of their 19 events for the state contest! Earning Division I (excellent) ratings and earning the opportunity to compete at the state event at North Scott on March 11th are: Adriana Kerr – Poetry, Public Address Rachel Spicer – Prose, Storytelling Amelia House – Poetry, Literary Program Molly Burken – Poetry, Original Oratory Lacey Stoker – Reviewing Sabine Housenga – Solo Musical Theatre Eliza Petersen – Literary Program, Improvisation Caleb Govert – Improvisation, Spontaneous Speaking Hannah Moore – Public Address Jack Butler – After Dinner Elyce Burzlaff – After Dinner Niya Miller (Storytelling) and Lacey Stoker (Improvisation) also performed well for the first time in their events and earned Division II (good) ratings.
