ü¶ã In order to raise more awareness about Infant and Pregnancy Loss Month, FCCLA will be selling student-made candles and candle plates at the October 7th home football game from 5-9 p.m. (or until sold out). Suggested donations are $2.50 for candles, $5 for candle and plate, and $3 for candle plates alone. FCCLA chose to make and sell candles because of Wave of Light on October 15th at 7 p.m. Wave of Light is a globally recognized event during Baby Loss Awareness Week where families across the world light a candle in memory of babies that died too soon. FCCLA asks that those who purchase candles, light them on October 15th and take a picture and tag FCCLA on Instagram, @centraldewittfccla. Pictures can also be posted on Facebook with the tag #WaveOfLight. Proceeds from the fundraiser will be split between No Foot Too Small and the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital.
