Central DeWitt sophomores and juniors have been busy the last two weeks learning about opportunities for the next school year. Interested students toured the DeWitt and Clinton Career Advancement Centers where they learned about the various Career Academies offered their junior and senior years of high school.
Through the academies students can earn a semester to full year of college credit for free, get a head start on their education, and explore career opportunities. The Clinton Advancement Center offers students Agriculture, Automotive Tech, Construction Tech, Culinary Arts, Engineering Tech, Education, Healthcare, and Information Tech academies. Due to the inclement weather, Central DeWitt schools will have a 2-hour delay on Thursday, Feb. 13th. There will be no AM preschool, and all morning activities are canceled. This delay will allow time for roads to be cleared, ensuring safer travel for students and staff. Please stay safe!

❄️ There's no better way to enjoy all this snow than by sledding under the stars at Westbrook Park!

Due to the weather, tonight’s School Board Work Session has been postponed until Thursday, Feb. 13th at 5:30 p.m. in the CDMS Media Center.

Due to anticipated weather, Wednesday, Feb. 12th will be a virtual learning day for all Central DeWitt students, and all before and after-school activities have been canceled. Parents, guardians, and students, please check your email for details regarding what to expect during our first virtual learning day.
This is a new experience for all of us, and we want to use this as a learning opportunity to refine our approach and ensure we continue providing the best possible education for our students, even when faced with challenges like inclement weather. We appreciate your cooperation and flexibility as we navigate this together! Stay safe and warm!

Our 3rd graders have been learning all about the seafaring warriors from Scandinavia known as Vikings! Students explored Viking culture, beliefs, and everyday life, discovering how these legendary Norse people lived, traveled, and told epic stories!
To wrap up their Viking Age unit, third grade teachers brought history to life with a Viking Feast last Friday. Students crafted their own Viking helmets, dressed as fierce warriors and legendary characters, and celebrated with a feast fit for a chieftain! Students had a blast showing off their best Viking faces during the celebration. Thank you to all who donated delicious snacks for the fun-filled feast!
