It is our goal to have all students visit a college campus prior to graduation, and on Monday sophomores got that chance. Good luck to Elyce Burzlaff and Sabine Housenga who are performing at the IHSSA Individual Events All State Festival at UNI today! This prestigious event showcases the best of the best individual speech performers in Iowa. In fact, out of 9,000 speech participants in Iowa, only 400 events are chosen for All State. Sabine will perform the song, "I'll Be Here" from the musical Ordinary Days, for her Solo Musical Theatre. Elyce will perform her original After Dinner Speaking piece, "The Karen Conference." Last Friday, a send-off was held for them in the CDHS atrium where their coach, Mrs. Magill, shared this is both Elyce and Sabine’s first year participating in Individual Speech.
